I am definitely a perfume junkie. I do love to troll through the isles in stores and get oodles of perfume samples! I do have a cheeky and plentiful spritz of my favourites, and I choose my perfume dependent on the occasion, the season and my mood! I stick to floral but sweet scents. I don't like anything too overpowering, but it is difficult to find perfumes that are so super unique.
Last year, I found the Chanel Coco Madmoiselle perfume, just by chance, and absolutely fell in love with it! For those of you who know, the perfume is essentially a sweet floral smell with a hint of fruitiness! Mostly Orange, Grapefruit, Jasmine. Yet it is filled with notes of Lychee, Patchouli, Bourbon Vanilla and White Musk. I have come to find that just about every single perfume that I drool over has jasmine in it. I don't know what it is about that scent but it just works. I was lucky enough to receive the little bottle of Chanel Coco Madmoiselle for Christmas, and safe to say, I squealed a little!!
Firstly, it looks so gloriously pretty set on my dresser. The colour of it is a delicate pink and the bottle is glass, and the perfect shaped bottle, just looking so elegant! The smell is the one thing that will draw you in, if those scents are what you like...I have a spritz on my writsts and a little bit on my neck. As it settles, it definitely becomes a little more musky, but, like most perfumes, the drawback for me, is that I stop smelling it after a few hours. The Chanel perfume, has been a little better. I feel it lasts a lot longer on my clothes (again that's no surprise) but I have found that I get a whiff of it every so often. It is a genuinely lovely perfume. You can smell (no pun intended) the quality of it, and there is something about it that just has a calming effect on me, perhaps it is the Patchouli tones, but it is just a perfume than you can get highly addicted to sitting there and smelling from the bottle! It smells utterly classy and works with every occasion, in my opinion. I don't even think it's particularly seasonal either, I'm intending to wear it throughout every season.
The little trick of keeping your perfume on longer is to apply it to pressure points, so behind the ears, and on your wrists, however, to keep the perfume going that little bit longer, apply a thin film of Vaseline to the areas where you spritz, and it does tend to last even longer! A good tip for when you're having a long day! I have the small Coco Madmoiselle, which is really easily to put in my bag, athough I tend not to, for fear of damaging it or worse, losing it!
