This is not anything new to you, as you have heard that smoking is horrible, even deadly, for your health. If that is not enough to convince you to quit, how about the simple fact that smoking is actually making you ugly?
Quitting smoking will make you prettier, and here's how!
You Will Have Firmer Skin
Smoking actually destroys elastin and collagen, according to Dr. Frederic Brandt. It also decreases your estrogen levels, which is necessary to keep your skin nice and firm.
You Will Have Less Redness
Smoking can increase inflammation on your skin by producing free radicals along with causing vascular injury that your body will attempt to repair. The same will go for frequent, heavy exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke. What is the good news? If you quit, inflammatory damage from smoking could be reversible. Research conducted by the Feinstein Institute For Medical Research located in New York showed that several weeks after quitting smoking show women having reductions in several markers of inflammation, including those linked to heart disease.
You Will Reduce The Appearance Of Dark Circles
There is no miracle cure that works on dark circles under the eyes, but something that can make these circles worse is smoking. If you do not have dark circles, you will notice a fresher look in your eyes in general. The toxins that are found in cigarette smoke can damage the tissue around the eyes that is delicate.
You Will Have Whiter Nails And Teeth
Everyone knows that smoking can cause bad breath, yellow your teeth and if you end up smoking enough, it can stain your fingernails too. All of this an easily be reversed if you quit smoking.
You Will Have A Smoother Complexion
Cigarettes will do nothing to help you look younger. As a matter of fact, the longer that a woman smokes, the older she will look, complete with more plentiful, deeper wrinkles and an uneven skin tone. According to research data, every ten years that you smoke can result in an added 2.5 years of aging.
You Will Feel More Self-Confident
Quitting smoking is going to do more than improve your teeth, hair and complexion, but it will also boost how you are feeling inside about yourself. In a study published in 2006, findings show that female college students that were smokers had more of a negative type of body image than those that did not. The more that they smoked, the worse they ended up feeling about themselves.

If you find it hard to quit smoking there are a number of options that can help you, like nicotine gum, electronic cigarettes, and nicotine patches.
